Our Practice

A 2009 graduate of Western Michigan University Thomas Cooley Law School, Shannon Beasley Appleton has been practicing law in Southern Illinois for over a decade.  Shannon started her career by assisting small businesses with her knowledge of corporate law and business transactions.  She then spent many years prosecuting felony, misdemeanor and traffic cases as an Assistant State's Attorney.  Back in private practice, Shannon specializes in criminal defense, family and divorce law, guardianship cases, adoptions, DUI/DL reinstatement cases, as well as supports our community by donating 4 hours a month to the local Lawyer in the Library Program. Shannon is licensed to practice in Illinois as well as in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Illinois Bar Association, and has been the Treasurer of the Franklin County Bar Association for almost 6 years.
